Pre-Op Anesthesia Instructions

 

Pre-Operative Instructions For Patients Undergoing  Anesthesia

  • You may not have anything to eat or drink (including water) for eight  (8) hours prior to the appointment.

  • Please do not to smoke at least twenty four (24) hours before procedure.

  • A responsible adult must accompany the patient to the office, and be able to drive the patient home. The patient should not drive a vehicle or operate any machinery for 24 hours following the anesthesia experience.

  • If the patient is under eighteen (18) years of age, an adult must accompany the patient and remain in our office throughout the entire procedure.

  • Please wear loose fitting clothing with sleeves which can be rolled up past the elbow, and low heeled shoes. 

  • Please do not wear excessive make up, lipstick and remove all nail polish prior to your appointment.
