Dental Extractions

Teeth other than your wisdom teeth, that are severely damaged, may need to be removed. Teeth may need to be removed for a number of reasons, usually due to extensive decay, 'gum' disease, or trauma resulting in painful, abscessed and/or loose teeth.

A tooth extraction should be done as soon as possible to avoid the spread of infection and more serious problems. In cases in which a root canal treatment might not save the tooth, it may be recommended that the tooth be removed.

The Use of Conscious Sedation, Deep Sedation and General Anesthesia in Dentistry Local anesthetics are used to control any pain or discomfort you may have. These types of Sedation are also used to control anxiety.
